Now then I know I stated like two days ago that today or tomorrow I would be dropping several teasers to upcoming events and plot/setting updates. Now the first thing I can confirm there will be a small time skip of approximately 3 years that will come into effect on your next topic. Don't worry I will let you know when that happens so you aren't freaking out.
Now without a further ado, the Tower of Ancients spoiler.
Disclaimer: This does not show the final product nor what the entire event will be about (it goes a lot deeper than whats written here).

Time has passed since the end of the great war between the world and Akatsuki. Torn asunder from within, and picked off by the Great Nations, peace and stability returned to the World of the Shinobi for three years, in those three years many things have grown stagnant. The fighters have grown antsy, even the wary civilians can feel the growing storm. War is coming.
But among all of this warmongering, a single glimmer of hope and despair shines out from the sands of Wind Country. A newly unearthed temple reveals an ancient culture, their stark views contrast with those of the modern world. The carvings, paints, and information left beyond was marred in various glyphs, and infused with a frightening power. Due to the age of the artifacts and the fact that coming up with a brand new name for the ancestors would take too long, they were designated The Ancients, and their knowledge was shared with the world. Months past by after the discovery with still no breakthroughs on the research, it seemed that one by one, each of the villages were losing interest with the old temple, fewer and fewer scientific expeditions being made to study the artifact.
Then one day a frantic alarm was resounded throughout the temple. Apparently one of the archaeologists had unearthed a massive door, absolutely covered in glyphs and images. The team of scientists toiled day and night to unearth the door before finally, it stood bare before them. Finally to celebrate, the all gathered together to push it open, but it was at that moment the gates began to glow violently, the sudden glare encompassing the scientists causing them to disappear from view. When sight was returned, all of the scientist lay there, unconscious on the floor. Their helpers made their way down to them but when they arrived, they found strange weapons laying at their feet. Before they could be helped up, they stood up on their own two feet, each one growing almost a foot or two taller, and the tint of their skin either growing a shade or two lighter or darker. Stepping to the front was a tall, bald, dark skinned man. He was dressed like a monk and raised his unoccupied hand up to his chest with the side of his hand facing them and the hand itself perfectly straight. The monk released a soft smile and began to speak in a rich deep baritone.
"We thank you for freeing us from our eternal tomb. Each of us has been sealed within for over three millenia and we can see that many a thing has changed. While normally we would grant a wish to such travelers, we lack the sufficient power to do so. So we will do the next best thing."
Tapping his spear slash staff on the ground, the sand at his feet began to swirl about the staff. the monks eyes swerving up to meet those of the helpers. His face split into a grin before he held out his staff.
"We will grant you one of our powerful weapons. To claim the others, you must climb. You must climb and challenge yourself to keep climbing. Even when you feel that all hope has been lost and that the original reason for you to be climbing has faded, you will still climb. And when you finally reach the top, there your wish will come true. So what is your answer warrior. Trust us, we may be old, but we are still very perceptive warriors, we also know about your recent past, the battles you all have fought to get where you are. It prides us such that such powerful warriors have graced our lands, that we have issued a challenge. A beast of the sands lays locked within our tower. Not only will we grant a wish to the person who climbs the tower full, but we will relinquish control of the beast to the person who climbs first as well. Now go. Take this weapon and spread the word. Let the world know, The Ancients have returned."
