Back a bro up....not sure what you were talking about at that time but s'okay.

Anyways, I've decided we need to hit the basics as far as stats are concerned. Instead of going forward and creating even more complicated and well thought up systems, we should go back.

I'm thinking 1 of 2 options at this moment.

Either, no stats/attributes at all

or

Something like Seraph's "30k" system.

Rank Information
Quote :
Shinobi Ranks
(Regular Forces)

Genin
[D - Rank]

(下忍; Literally meaning "low ninja", Meaning (Viz) "junior ninja")
Genin are the lowest level of ninja and also the ones that display the most difference in power. When they become genin, ninja start to do their bit for their village's economy – being sent on missions that the village gets paid for. They are typically sent either on D-rank missions, which are almost entirely risk-free jobs of manual labour, or, rarely, on C-rank missions, which are a cut above that and begin to verge on real "ninja" work that have a very low possibility of risk to the ninja involved.

Chūnin
[C - Rank]

(中忍; Literally meaning "Middle Ninja", Meaning (Viz) "Journeyman Ninja")
Chuunin are ninja who are qualified to guide other ninja and lead missions. Chūnin have reached a level of maturity and ability that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. Genin who do not have the skills to become chūnin are weeded out in the chūnin exams. Some of them, like Iruka Umino, Daikoku Funeno and Suzume move on to function as Academy teachers and others, like Shikamaru Nara, serve as team leaders in charge of small teams who need to make decisions and utilise the skills of the shinobi under their command to the maximum effect. Chūnin are typically sent on C-rank or B-rank missions.

Tokujō
[B - Rank]

(特別上忍, Tokubetsu Jounin; English TV "Special Jōnin"; Literally meaning "Special High Ninja"; sometimes known as Tokujō for short)
Tokubetsu Jounin are ninja who, rather than all-around jōnin training, have jōnin-level ability in a specific area or skill, much like warrant officers in real-world militaries. They are elite specialists in their areas and are often assigned as subordinates to regular jōnin when their services are needed. One example of a Tokubetsu Jōnin is Ibiki Morino, whose unique ability to completely understand the workings of the human mind makes him a jounin-level interrogation expert. Tokujō are typically sent on B-rank or A-rank missions.

Jōnin
[A - Rank or S - Rank]

(上忍, Jounin; Literally meaning "High Ninja", Meaning (Viz) "Elite Ninja")
Jounin are generally highly-experienced shinobi with great individual skill who serve as military captains. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced jōnin may even be sent on S-rank missions (which are considered to be the greatest difficulty). It is not unusual for jōnin to go on missions alone. Jōnin are generally able to use at least two types of elemental chakra, some genjutsu, and above average taijutsu skills.

Kage
[A - Rank or S- Rank]

(影; Literally meaning "Shadow")
A Kage is the leader of one of the five most powerful hidden villages and are generally acknowledged as the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. They are collectively known as the Five Kage (五影, Gokage; Literally meaning "Five Shadows").

There exists a level of ninja who are of Kage level, but who are not presently a village Kage. This may be because of personal preference, the onset of aging, or the possibility of belonging to a village where the term KAge does not refer to them. These shinobi are just called Village Leaders. The three highly skilled Hidden Leaf ninja known to be of kage level are known as the Legendary "Sannin," or Legendary "Three Ninja". The members of Akatsuki are also generally at this level as well. Legendary Sand puppet master kunoichi Chiyo of Hidden Sand could be considered near this level. Ninja of this level usually leave their villages behind to seek their own ambitions.

Civilian Ranks

Novice
[D - Rank]

Apprentice
[C - Rank]

Adept
[B - Rank]

Expert
[A - Rank]

Master
[S - Rank]

Well, I've put this together so far. Let me point a couple things out. First of all, as you guys can see, I added Special Jounin to the Ranks. What do you all think? Personally, I think it would be a great addition. It lessens the amount of ranks that jounin can have. Instead of B,A, and S.

Plus, I think it would spice some things up. It wouldn't be a necessary rank to pass through, but can be given to Chuunin that have proven that they should be promoted, yet maybe not quite ready for the position of jounin [this means that not everyone has to be a tokujou. You can go to jounin from chuunin but going on Master's proposed system, that will be decided on your resume. Plus, it gives us another different aspect. :3 Makes me excited just thinking about it. o.o

Meh, plus with the ranks I made for civilians, it would have the same amount of ranks.

Lol, I wonder how many people realized beforehand that these ranks came from Skyrim in reference to spells. I mean, it works right? XD

Just thought I would get some opinions before I continue going and at least get started since Master said he'd have something last Saturday and it's now Wednesday. o.o;

I like the part about Special Jounin, but I don't really think we should call them civilians. I mean, from what Light has told me so far about 'em, they aren't very... Civilian-ny. I mean, they can still have weapons, they can still exercise, get stronger, faster, but they just don't have any chakra. Civilians would be people that are actually members that opened up shops Icly, or members that just doesn't want anything to do with this kind of shit. But by putting ranks on Civilians, it kind of nulls the point of it. I mean, only reason we probably have it is because Mario is a Hughes' lover, and he doesn't have any powers. So, I think we should call them something else if they have powers. Branch out of the Civilian shit completely. Since civilians are civilians. Not guys with big ass swords that can still kill as well as any guy with a Jutsu. Maybe just add in before Novice [ D-rank ] something like "Observer."

Or businessman. Where they don't fight, kill, or anything. Since, technically, killing is illegal. Unless, of course, you're a Shinobi. Ranked Civilians are basically serial killers if they have ranks and all that. So, they'll also probably be hunted by the ninjas. So, there should be two different categories.

Category Number 1:

Regular Joe

Not allowed any of the perks the ranked ones have. Can buy maybe a knife, but is a REAL civilian. I.E., doesn't kill.

Category Number 2:

What you got now. AKA Serial Killer.

Hunter, that's for self defense.

We are all aware that Civilians are you average people who have their own business and run it on their own or with their family.

But, civilian and ninja are humans, what one completes, the other can do so as well.

Ranks are there so that we could actually know with what professions they start.

Yes, they need ways to defend themselves (and shit to be more popular so that I wouldn't be the only civilian around).

The rank is more so to determine how well a person is at their profession

It's not to determine their strength in the ninja world. A Master Civilian is still going to be a disadvantage with a chuunin, probably even a genin.

Most civilians aren't trained to fight. Plus, like you said, killing in the civilian world is illegal. Only shinobi are allowed to do it and it's only to 'preserve peace'.

We can make to include this information with the Civilian rankings so that people won't think that "Oh, I am a Master blah Civilian so I am on par in strength with the Hokage!"

Yeah we should outline that civilians are not as strong as ninja, you may get a few exceptions but the majority of civilians will be as strong as a regular joe then youget the thugs and samurai trained guys who are preety strong then you may get martial art masters of the civilian kind experts in a wepon/taijutsu but without the chakra but still ninja>civilian in terms of strength mainly

I love the special jounin makes us preety unique and a cool rank

Ranking Up For Shinobi!

Genin [D-Rank]Chuunin [C-Rank]
The Genin to Chuunin promotion is probably the most different out of all other promotions. There is reasoning for this though. In this transition, a genin must prove that he/she is capable of leadership and also logical thinking in the field. So, in order for that to happen, Genin must fulfill one of two situations. Either, the team must have completed 8 missions or have direct consent from the sensei to the kage or village leader. All Genin that wish to participate must be a part of an assigned team with two other genin. The reason for this is that all Genin must participate in the Chuunin Selection Exams and teamwork is of vital importance for shinobi to learn in their earliest years. Successful Genin are promoted to genin. The test is passed based on aptitude and capability, not if one 'wins' the Exams. Decisions for Chuunin are made by the Kage who then consult with the Village Council [Admin will act as the Council by taking suggestions from the Kage and then making final decisions.]

Selection Exams will be held every _ months.

Chuunin [C-Rank] Tokujo [B-Rank] or Jounin [A-Rank]
Once a chuunin has gained enough experience at this shinobi ranking, gone on missions and come back successfully and overall proved their worth in the world of RP, he/she can turn in an 'Application' to their Kage/Village Leader for a promotion through PM. The Kage will make a preliminary decision. Then, Administrators will make a final decision. The higher the performance of the chuunin, the better chance that he/she will be promoted to Jounin. If, the Chuunin has demonstrated prowess, but with room to improve, he/she will be promoted to Tokubetsu or Special Jounin. If the chuunin does not deserve a promotion at all, he/she will simply remain at chuunin.

Tokujo [B-Rank]→ Jounin [A-Rank] or Kage/Village Leader [A-Rank]
Once a Tokujou or Special Jounin has gained enough experience at this shinobi ranking, gone on missions and come back successfully and overall proved their worth in the world of RP, he/she can turn in an 'Application' to their Kage/Village Leader for a promotion through PM. The Kage will make a preliminary decision. Then, Administrators will make a final decision. The higher the performance of the Tokujou, the better chance that he/she will be promoted to Jounin. If the Tokujou does not deserve a promotion at all, he/she will simply remain at Tokujou.

Sometimes, a Kage may pass away or give up their position. In this event, if the villagers, or Village Council [Admin] deem the person worthy, may promote the Tokujou to Kage/Village Leader.

Jounin [A-Rank] → Jounin [S-Rank] or Kage/Village Leader [A-Rank or S-Rank]
Once a Jounin has gained enough experience at this shinobi ranking, gone on missions and come back successfully and overall proved their worth in the world of RP, he/she can turn in an 'Application' to their Kage/Village Leader for a promotion through PM. The Kage will make a preliminary decision. Then, Administrators will make a final decision. The higher the performance of the Jounin, the better chance that he/she will be promoted to from A to S-Rank. If the Jounin does not deserve a promotion at all, he/she will simply remain at A-Rank. This rank is highly revered, thus a shinobi must become very well known and cause much impact on the RP world.

Maybe for Kage I would mention things like must be have a high wisdom and be knowledgeable about their village and the way the shinobi world works we cant have naruto style nonces aquiring kage, then not knowing how to run the village.

I would put wisdom parts at all ranks, as even for chunin there was that quote by the third hokage about if heaven is what ypu aquire let your mind take you higher and if earhly qualities are what you lack train and be prepared to attack.

and when this to combine path righteous something something

this is basically saying you need wisdom and chunin are leaders they need to know the strengths of their teams and how to improve this but they need to be strong aswell, and when this two qualities are combined hard missions become easy.

Wisdom isn't really that useful for Chuunin. Just saying, the wisdom we've seen so far is just people saying cool quotes. Intelligence, however, is another thing. I mean, Hell, I can come up with ten quotes that would qualify me as someone of reasonable wisdom, but does that depend on rank? Nah. Depends on the person. Anyways, I'd be fine with that for Hokage thing. But, strategies don't really depend on... Well, wisdom. Wisdom normally means that you know what's right or wrong, you can give an advice. Like a counselor. You can say a ton of shit, but say nothing at all. When it comes to strategies like what Colonel Dick Winters did in Normandy, that took some wisdom, but it also took some brainpower, lots of strategizing, etc.

So, saying that just because you have a lot of wisdom, does not mean you know what's what. I just wanted to point that out. Hey, I'm wise. Because I just said a lot without really saying anything. Point is, wisdom is knowing what to do when two of your team members are fighting each other, but it doesn't really apply in the sense that you know how to strategize properly. Anyone copying? If not, shame.

I meant wisdom and intellect thats what the third hokage's quote is all about you need and mind and body that work in harmony you cant be stupid and strong and be a chunin or be smart and weak and be a chunin this is the same at every rank, you need both qualities

I like the new rank....

But this means we gotta modify some other systems, like the starting combat styles and other things.

Now that we used this new rank, I think we need to make Kage S-Ranked.

I mean, I dun like them being of the same rank as others. Like, the Kage is the strongest person in the village. o.o

-----------

Concerning civilians, I think Ranks for them should only signify the amount of influence and fame that they got.

Their Professions, each will start with a Genin amount, same with exp.

----------

Just remember that combat styles are what determine ones attributes, not Rank. But yeah, since Jounin got more of them, they get to be better than Genin.

Well, a kage is not automatically S Rank. Even the wikia say that. o.o

Plus, I'd rather leave it to show that S rank is something that kinda needs a kage to stand out in order to obtain. Not just "I make a registration from the complete top of the chain". It gives the Kage something to work for.

But yeah, we do need to tweak a couple things.

What about we make it an in-between rank? Not A-Rank. But not S-rank either. I mean, we can make up a new letter and add rank after it, can't we? Z-rank, F-rank, etc. So many possibilities. But I do agree Kages shouldn't automatically be S-rank. Has to be earned. Makes it fair.
